Request received
We are matching your request to licensed, insured contractors covering your ZIP code. Keep your phone nearby: they contact you directly.
If the situation has become dangerous: fire, a gas smell, water reaching electrical panels or outlets, or anyone injured: leave the building and call 911 now. Do not wait for a callback.
What happens next
A contractor calls you
Usually within the hour for an active emergency. The call comes from the contractor directly, not from us, so it will show their local number.
You get a price before work starts
Ask for the diagnostic fee, the after-hours rate and whether the diagnostic is credited against the repair. Get it in writing before anyone opens a wall.
You are under no obligation
If the quote is wrong for you, say no. Nothing has been committed and there is no charge for the referral.
While you wait
Most of the damage in a home emergency happens in the first hour. These steps are safe for a homeowner to take without tools.
- Shut off the water at the main valve if anything is leaking, or the fixture stop if the leak is local
- Switch off power at the breaker to any circuit near standing water, but never stand in water to reach a panel
- Move electronics, documents and soft furnishings clear of the affected area
- Photograph everything before you clean up, from several angles, with timestamps intact for your insurer
- Do not run a wet-dry vacuum on sewage or on water that has touched electrical wiring
